Tornado in Greene County
On saturday, there was a tornado warning for Greene County, so around 7:00 we packed up and headed to wait it out at Juju's. The wasn't really any damage in Kinston so we were shocked to what we found when we came back home the next morning to find total destruction of the Andy's restaurant down the road, and Greene County Middle School. The damage was incredible and pictures don't do it justice but here are a few we caught.

First OB appointment
Today we had our very first OB appointment to check on Baby Hart. We saw Dr. Stephenson and he said everything was looking great! The heart rate was 146 bpm and we go back in a month for another recheck. So thankful for this little blessing!

My sweet little Jack Jack...I can't believe how big you are getting and how grown up you act all of a sudden. What has happened to my baby? I love waking you up in the mornings because you are just like me, you hate to get up. So for about 20 minutes you just lay in my lap and I can cuddle with you. That is my favorite time of the day. Every morning you ask me, "Where do we have to go today" and you are always so excited when I get to say "Nowhere!" You are the love of my life and the sweetest boy on earth. I can't wait to watch you grow even bigger!

New truck
We found one! Ritchie found a new truck in Duplin County and boy was Jackson excited! It was around 8:00 pm when he got back home with it and Jackson had been waiting at the door. He ran out to check it out since this is just the coolest thing in the world to him. He has since named his daddy's new big truck "Old Yeller." :)

Charlotte weekend
This weekend, Ritchie and I rode to Waynesville, NC to check out a new truck he was interested in buying. Conveniently, the Tarheels were playing in a championship game on Friday night, so we stopped in Charlotte on Friday night to watch the game and spend the night. We had so much fun. We ate dinner at Ruth's Chris steakhouse, but unfortunately the main pregnancy side effect I have had so far, is that I cannot stand the smell of meat. I didn't realize this until I ordered this big ol expensive steak, of course, but i ate about one bite and that was all I could manage. The weird thing is, when I was pregnant with Jackson, I begged Ritchie to cook steak for me several times a week! Crazy how different two pregnancies can be! We got up Saturday morning and drove the rest of the way to Waynesville, which is in the NC mountains. The ride was beautiful! The truck he test drove was huge and the only place to test drive it was around the mountain side. I seriously thought I was going to have a heart attack. In the end, we felt like this was just not the truck for us. There were some things obviously wrong with it and we just didn't have a great feeling about it, so we drove the 7 hours back home on Sunday. All in all a great weekend get-away even if we didn't really get much accomplished.

Gardening
This year we decided to plant a garden since we had plenty of room. This weekend Jackson helped me plant seeds in a starter kit to plant in the ground a few weeks later. We planted cucmbers, corn, scallions, watermelons, and squash. It only took a few days for the sprouts to start coming up and Jackson loved watering them and checking on them everyday to see the progress. Hopefully in a few weeks we can get them planted!
