Pretty much the perfect day

This morning, Ritchie got up early with Jackson like he always does on saturdays and let me sleep in. I woke up at 8:30 and he had breakfast ready! After we all ate breakfast me and Jackson played for a little while then he crawled up in my lap and went to sleep (which is pretty unusual!) I ended up falling asleep too and we slept for almost 3 hours! There were a million things that I needed to be doing but it felt so good to snuggle with him and get some rest on this rainy day.

Lots of new words

Jackson is now talking non-stop now. Just this weekend he started saying stringbeans, pine cone, and my favorite hot hog (hot dog.) It's just amazing how fast he is growing and changing. He is becoming such a little man! Every afternoon when I walk in the house he says "Joan Joan!!" and it just makes me so happy.

Jumpin' Monkey

The other day we took Jackson to Jumpin' Monkey for the first time. He absolutely loved it! He jumped all over the place and while he was too little for some things, he was bored to death in the under 2 area. There was a little girl there that was sweet enough to help him up the climb up to the top of the slide. He only played for 30 minutes before he started rubbing his eyes. We got his shoes and started putting them on and I told him we were going home. He said "home" about 10 times before we got back home he was so tired! He slept for 3 hours after we got back. I definately think we will be going back!

The other day, I put some m&m's in a heart shaped bowl on the end table. Jackson kept getting into them, so I moved them to another table that was a little higher up and hid them behind a plant. Ritchie walked into the living room yesterday and found that he had slid his rocking chair across the room and was sneaking the m&m's out of the bowl. Here is the little thief being caught red-handed!

On Saturday afternoon we took Tyler & Jackson to get pictures made in their matching turnout gear. They were so cute and even though Jackson really did not want to get his picture made for once, they still turned out great. After that, we all came back to our house and cooked out for Tyler, mama, and my birthdays. We had a really fun night!
